Dealing with Loneliness

Updated: Dec 31, 2021

"God... where are you?"

I know how it feels to be lonely.

It seems as though you are the only one facing the world,

the weight of the world weighing heavily on your shoulders.

It is the feeling of disconnection and isolation.

I find myself even lonely with many of my friendships,

school, even with family.

I still feel lonely.

But Jesus understand how it feels to be lonely.

Not all His disciples believed He was God at first,

and one of His dear friends betrayed Him.

Here is the thing,

God stays with us when no one else will...

He puts His love for us in our hearts,

that we will never feel alone.

We just have to accept it.

You may feel lonely, but in reality...

He is literally holding your hand.

These are 6 scripture verses, a song, and a short film that will assure you of God's presence.

When there is a time where you ever feel lonely, open your bible to these verses:

"Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said, 'My foot is slipping,' your unfailing love, Lord, supported me."

Psalm 94: 17-18 (NIV)

"At my defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it."

2 Timothy 4:16-17 (NIV)

"He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him."

Psalm 91:15 (NIV)

"But now, this is what the Lord says - he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

Isaiah 43:1 (NIV)

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."

John 14:18 (NIV)

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
