Dealing with Low Self-Esteem

Updated: Dec 31, 2021

"Lord... no one cares about me..."

I know how it feels to have low self-esteem.

To feel as though no one cares for you.

Not only do you feel as though your friends don’t care for you, but your family as well.

You began to feel so isolated.

Like a failure.

Yes, I understand.

But let me tell you something I have learned over the years,

The only person who truly knows you is God.

So that means no one, not even your closest friend, truly know you.

But God.

And that’s fine.

At the end of the day, it is God who will truly love you.

People will fail you, but God won’t.

But that doesn’t mean that you should give up on people.

It just means that God is much more important.

And instead of focusing your time on people,

instead give all that energy to God.

To Someone who will never fail you.

Someone who will love you.

Someone who has plans for you.

Plans not to harm you.

But plans to give you hope and a future.

Trust me.

I know how it feels to have low self-esteem.

To feel as though no one cares about you.

But trust me, God does.

Scriptures:

“For I know the plans I have for you, “ declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

"So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Hebrews 13:6 (NIV)
