Understanding God's Unwavering Love

"Lord, how could you love someone like me?
I know how it feels to want to be loved.
To feel as though someone truly cares for you.
To have someone who will never fail you.
Who will never let you down.
To be there, every time you call for them.
Love.
Isn’t it such a beautiful thing?
One can desire love from the time they enter this world,
And to the time they depart from it.
Wanting love isn’t a sin.
I believe God put that desire in our hearts.
But why?
Wanting and seeking love can be a good thing,
But wanting and seeking love can also become a bad thing.
We end up focusing on wanting to be loved so much that we forget
that there is someone who loves you wholeheartedly.
Just because you are His child.
Love can be kind.
Love can be painful.
So why did God give us this desire?
That is because God is LOVE.
Don’t you see?
You were looking for love all around.
But your body, your SOUL was looking for God.
It took me years to understand this...
Even till this day, I find myself forgetting that there is someone who..
Will never fail me.
Will never let me down.
Will be there every time I call for them.
That is Love.
And that's what makes God so beautiful.
Let's remember to also share this love with others as well.
